Carlos Cebro
Ein Stipendium der französischen Regierung ermöglichte es ihm, sein Studium am Konservatorium National de Paris fortzusetzen, von wo aus er den Excellence Award erhielt. Dort trainierte er bei den Lehrern Suzanne Roche und Vlado Perlemuter.
Mit Professor Paul von Schilhawsky, Rektor der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, perfektionierte er sich auch in den "Deutschen Liedern".
Als Pianist gastierte er an renommierten Veranstaltungsorten auf fünf Kontinenten, sei es als Solist, mit einem Orchester oder als Begleiter für lyrische Sänger.
Er konzertierte mit Orchester unter der Leitung von Dirigenten wie Arie van Beek, Neithard Bethke, Jacques Bodmer, Paul Bonneau, Philippe de Chalendar, Choo-Hoey, César Grimaldi, Lazlo Halasz, Pablo Komlós, Gustav König, Hugo López, Roberto Montenegro, Karl Nagel, Miguel Patrón Marchand, Kurt Rapf, Salvador Brotons, Jerzy Salwarowsky, Karol Stryja, Héctor Tosar, Federico García Vigil, Antonio Vito und anderen.
Als Pianist begleitete er wichtige Sänger wie Arleen Auger, Rita Streich, Carmen Bustamante, Margarita Castro-Alberty, Viorica Cortez, Masako Deguci, Marie-José Dolorian, Yolanda Hernández, Alessandra Ruffini, Giulietta Simionato, Nobuko Takahashi, Jules Bastin, Roland Hermann, George London und Bruno Pratico, um nur einige zu nennen.
Als Pädagoge unterrichtet er Kurse und Meisterkurse in Südamerika, Russland, Japan, Polen, Spanien, Südkorea, Frankreich und Portugal.
Carlos Cebro ist Präsident oder Mitglied verschiedener Jurys internationaler Wettbewerbe. Auf Wunsch des Gründers ist er Präsident der Eliane Richepin Association, die alle zwei Jahre den "City of Montevideo Piano Competition" in Uruguay ausrichtet. Ebenfalls auf Wunsch des Gründers ist er Präsident und künstlerischer Leiter des Internationalen Musikwettbewerbs María Canals in Barcelona.
1984 gründete er den Internationalen Klavierwettbewerb Porto, dessen Präsident er sieben Jahre lang war.
Artistic director of the legendary "Maria Canals" International Piano Competition – Maestro Carlos Cebro began her musical studies with Rosa Dego de Lungo and Lilia Amestoy Naya, later continuing them at the National Conservatory of Music of Montevideo with teachers Adhémar Schenone, Hugo Balzo and Eliane Richepin, among others. A scholarship granted by the French government allows him to continue his studies at the National Conservatory of Paris from where he graduated obtaining the Excellence Award. There he trained with teachers Suzanne Roche and Vlado Perlemuter.
He also perfected himself in the "German lieder" with Professor Paul von Schilhawsky, Rector of the Mozarteum of Salzburg.
As a pianist he has given concerts in prestigious venues on five continents; either as a soloist, with an orchestra, or as an accompanist for lyrical singers.
He has performed with orchestra under the direction of conductors such as Arie van Beek, Neithard Bethke, Jacques Bodmer, Paul Bonneau, Philippe de Chalendar, Choo-Hoey, César Grimaldi, Lazlo Halasz, Pablo Komlós, Gustav König, Hugo López, Roberto Montenegro, Karl Nagel, Miguel Patrón Marchand, Kurt Rapf, Salvador Brotons, Jerzy Salwarowsky, Karol Stryja, Héctor Tosar, Federico García Vigil, Antonio Vito, among others.
As an accompanying pianist he has performed alongside important singers such as: Arleen Auger, Rita Streich, Carmen Bustamante, Margarita Castro-Alberty, Viorica Cortez, Masako Deguci, Marie-José Dolorian, Yolanda Hernández, Alessandra Ruffini, Giulietta Simionato, Nobuko Takahashi, Jules Bastin, Roland Hermann, George London, and Bruno Pratico to name a few.
As a pedagogue, he teaches courses and Master Classes in South America, Russia, Japan, Poland, Spain, South Korea, France and Portugal.
Carlos Cebro is President or member of different juries of international competitions. At the request of its founder, he is President of the Eliane Richepin Association that organizes the City of Montevideo Piano Competition in Uruguay every two years. Also at the request of its founder, he is president and artistic director of the María Canals International Music Competition in Barcelona.
In 1984 he founded the Porto International Piano Competition, whose presidency he held for seven years.
